The FAA is warning SpaceX that its new Texas launch site tower has not yet been approved. An FAA spokesman on Wednesday said an environmental review is underway on the rocket assembly tower under construction at the SpaceX launch site in Boca Chica. In May, SpaceX said it didn't believe such a review was necessary because the new tower would not be used for "FAA-licensed or permitted launches." The FAA says its documents indicate otherwise, and that SpaceX could be ordered to take the tower down.
