Austin-Travis County leaders are increasing coronavirus restrictions. The area went back into Stage Three today meaning those who are unvaccinated and high-risk need to avoid going out unless it's necessary. The unvaccinated also need to wear a mask. People who have gotten the COVID inoculation can still go out without wearing masks. Austin Public Health says the increased restrictions are needed due to rising cases particularly of the Delta variant. APH encourages people to take plenty of precautions to avoid the spread of the virus.
