Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff is asking the governor why Texas hasn't yet disbursed certain federal funds to more than two-dozen local suburbs. Wolff sent a letter to Gov. Greg Abbott on Tuesday. He says it's the state's job to ask the Treasury Department for the funds from the American Rescue Plan, and to request documentation from towns with fewer than 50-thousand residents. Wolff says the state hadn't applied as of Monday for a 30-day extension to secure the funds, even though the plan was enacted in March.
