A new poll shows Gov. Greg Abbott with a minuscule lead over potential challenger Matthew McConaughey in a hypothetical race for governor. The poll released Sunday by the Dallas Morning News and UT Tyler shows Abbott ahead of McConaughey by 39-percent to 38-percent. Previous results from the same pollsters had McConaughey up 12-points over Abbott. The Austin-based actor hasn't confirmed his run for governor, but has hinted at it several times. The candidate filing deadline is December 13th.
