Southwest Airlines pilots are disputing the Dallas-based company's claims that weather problems are leading to delays. On Monday, Southwest Airlines Pilots Association president Casey Murray said weather can lead to delays, but the airlines' main problem is a pilot shortage. Murray said the FAA mandated pilots undergo training before flying after a layoff, and Southwest has around 900 pilots still in training heading into July and August. Murray hopes with restrictions easing, more simulators can be run to allow pilots to return to their planes faster.
