An ad for workers by The Boring Company reveals a connection to Bastrop. The company is a part of Elon Musk's array of tech manufacturing companies. The Boring Company is advertising to hire as many as 20 positions around the Austin area. The job posts include a mention of the company's Bastrop research and development office southeast of Austin. It is the first public acknowledgment by the company that its expansion plans in central Texas include Bastrop.
