Vice President Kamala Harris will be in El Paso today for her first visit to the border since taking office. The VP will tour the Central Processing Center at Hondo Pass and meet with migrants along with migrant advocates. She will be accompanied by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and El Paso Congresswoman Veronica Escobar. Administration officials say El Paso was selected for Harris's trip instead of the Rio Grande Valley because it is "a vibrant border city with three busy ports of entry."
