Delta Variant Has Health Officials Worried As Vaccinations Plateau

Metro Health officials are concerned about the new Delta variant of the coronavirus, since the local vaccination rate is leveling off. The highly contagious variant has played havoc with India, and now accounts for more than 20-percent of new cases in the U-S. There are no confirmed cases of the variant in Bexar County, but Metro Health says it's likely already here. Being fully vaccinated is effective against the variant, but with the vaccination rate slowing in the county, officials say there could be consequences.
