VIA Metro Transit plans to revise and update its bus schedule as ridership rebounds after the pandemic. VIA's Board of Directors signed off on a series of service changes in a meeting on Tuesday evening. As of August 23rd, several bus routes will be combined, and buses will run more often on others. VIA passenger volume was cut in half at the worst point in the pandemic. As of April, ridership was up nine-percent from the previous year, and was also trending upward in May.
