Health Officials: Second Vaccine Dose Helps Ward Off Delta Variant Of Virus

Bexar County health officials are reminding people to get that second vaccine dose is order to ward off the Delta variant of the virus. The Delta variant is the one playing havoc in India lately, and accounts for 90% of the cases in Britain. The variant is more contagious, and so far makes up about 10% of all U.S. cases. Dr. Junda Woo of Metro Health says having only one dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine will give you 33% protection from the Delta variant, both doses will provide 88-percent protection.
