Forbes is listing San Antonio as one of the 25 best American cities to retire in 2021. The business magazine recognized San Antonio for its low median home price, which is 37% lower than the national median. Texas lacks an income tax, and there's also no estate tax in San Antonio. The Alamo City was noted as a bicycle-friendly place with good air quality and a great cultural scene. On the downside, San Antonio's serious crime rate is above the national average. The 25 cities weren't ranked, but listed in alphabetical order.
