The wife and four-year-old step-daughter of a Harris County deputy constable are recovering after Houston Police say they were shot during an early Sunday morning home invasion. Just before 2:30 a.m., police responded to a reported home invasion at an apartment complex where the off-duty deputy constable reported an unknown suspect forced entry into his apartment. He reported shot off several rounds into the dwelling, striking the constable's wife in the leg and the young girl in the arm. The suspect is being described as a Hispanic male, about five-foot, five-inches tall. The girl was taken to an area hospital where she's reportedly in stable condition.
