The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office is working to identify some human bones that turned up near a hiking trail on Friday. Police responded at about 1 p.m. to the Jack White Park Trailhead near I-35. A hiker had reported the discovery of what looked like human skeletal remains a few feet from the trail. Investigators say the remains were near a high water crossing area on Salado Creek. So far the cause of death is unknown, and it's not clear how long the remains had been there.
