Vice President Kamala Harris plans to meet next week at the White House with Texas Democrats who walked off the job to prevent a vote on an election integrity bill. The GOP-backed bill would limit early voting hours, curb local voting options, and tighten vote-by-mail rules, all of which would restore pre-pandemic voting procedures. Gov. Greg Abbott says he'll bring the bill back in a special session. Harris's meeting is set for Wednesday. The House Democratic Caucus tweeted a list of ten legislators who will show up, reportedly including Rep. Senfronia Thompson and Senator Carol Alvarado, both of Houston.
