Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is running for re-election. The Republican announced his bid for a third term on Thursday, promising he wouldn't let Texas become a state run by Democrats. He's already been endorsed by former President Donald Trump. No other Republicans are in the race just yet. Democrat Mike Collier, who lost to Patrick in 2018, is hoping for a rematch next year.
