Swarms of mosquitoes are descending on San Antonio because of recent weather trends. Residents across the city are calling the San Antonio Vector Control Program to complain. A spokesman say heavy rains and warmer temperatures are contributing to the breeding of the bloodsucking pests, which weren't affected by the winter storm in February. Crews with the Bexar County Public Works are fogging public and unincorporated areas by night. But residents are asked to drain standing water, which is where the insects breed.
