The demolition of a bridge over I-10 near Boerne is again postponed, and this time it's because of birds. Work crews had planned to tear down the U.S. Highway 87 bridge in late April and early May, but a series of weather delays kept it from happening. City officials announced Wednesday that migratory birds have built a nest in the bridge. The rescheduled demolition was set for this weekend, but has been canceled. The new date for the next attempt hasn't been announced.
