U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the number of foreign nationals detained at the US-Mexico border continues to climb. The Border Patrol apprehended just over 180,000 people at the border last month, up from 178,000 in April. The number of unaccompanied minors dropped 23% from April to May to just under 11,000. The number of children in CBP custody also dropped from nearly 3,000 in April to just over 600 last month.
