Crimes against children are continuing to climb in the state of Texas. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services reports since 2017 numbers have increased every year. Last year alone, 251 children were killed by some sort of violent crime. Five cases this year involving children have been certified as homicides. Experts say most cases aren't reported to authorities until its too late.
