Husband Dead, Wife Hurt In Plane Crash At Pearland Regional Airport

One person is dead and another is hurt after a plane crash yesterday at Pearland Regional Airport. The Department of Public Safety says it happened around 2:45 p.m. They say the plane was landing when an undetermined malfunction caused the plane to crash into an embankment. The pilot, a 58-year-old man, died on the scene. The passenger, a 38-year-old woman, got off the plane and was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. DPS officials say the two had been married for seven years. NTSB officials will be on the scene Sunday to investigate the crash.
