A nearly eleven-hour standoff in Texas is over and a man is in custody after a shooting that wounded three police officers Wednesday night. It started with a 911 call asking officers to check on a possibly suicidal person. Police say when officers arrived at the home in Flower Mound, a man inside opened fire and hit three officers. Two were taken to hospitals in stable condition and one had been released by early this morning.
One of the officers was grazed by a bullet, another was hit in a metal shield he was carrying, and the third was hit in his bulletproof vest. He was treated by paramedics at the scene. Police department officials say all three officers are "doing well." Flower Mound is in the north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
