A Texas House committee is rejecting a bill banning transgender girls from participating on girls sports teams. The House Public Education Committee rejected Senate Bill 29 today meaning the full House cannot vote on it. Committee members did not vote on a similar bill last month due to a lack of support. The NCAA threatened to stop holding sports championships in the state if the bill became law.
