Today is an Ozone Action Day in San Antonio. Metro Health announced the alert on Sunday, after the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality issued it for today. Officials say children, the elderly, and people with respiratory problems should spend less time outdoors. Metro Health suggests people gas up vehicles after 6 p.m., go inside a restaurant instead of using the drive-thru, turn your vehicle off instead of idling, set your A-C thermostats to a higher temperature, carpool or take the bus, and consolidate your errands.
