San Antonio Mayoral Election Set For Saturday

Mayor Ron Nirenberg is hoping to avoid a runoff in the San Antonio mayoral election on Saturday. The mayor has led all opposing candidates in fundraising throughout the campaign, but the crowded ballot has 13 other hopefuls in the running. Nirenberg would need more than 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff against the second-place candidate on June 5th. Former city Councilman Greg Brockhouse narrowly lost to Nirenberg in a runoff in 2019. He appears to be Nirenberg's main threat, but he's polling a distant second.
