Texas House Approves Bill To Expand Use Of Medical Marijuana

The Texas House is giving its initial approval to a bill that would expand the state's medical marijuana program. House Bill 1535 would make more patients eligible for the state's medical cannabis program, including people with cancer, chronic pain, and debilitating medical conditions. The bill would also raise the THC cap from point-five-percent to five-percent. The bill will be read on the House floor a third time for its final passage. If it clears the House, it will head to the Senate for approval.
