A bill is being introduced in Congress to encourage the weatherization of the Texas energy grid. The Power On Act was filed today creating a Department of Energy grant program meant to help states fortify electric infrastructure. U.S. Senator John Cornyn says weatherization is expensive but the targeted grants can help alleviate the costs. Dallas Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson is also a sponsor of the legislation in the House.
