Time Running Out For Migrant Kids Housed At Freeman Coliseum

The 60-day contract that allows the federal government to use Freeman Coliseum as a shelter for migrant children expires on May 30th. As of Tuesday, officials reported there are more than 1,900 boys aged 13 to 17 housed at the arena. The Department of Health and Human Services says only 13 of the boys have been reunited with family members or sponsors in the U.S. A spokeswoman for the department says boys who haven't been placed with a sponsor by the end of May will be moved to another emergency intake center or placed in the foster care system.
