Abbott Condemns Biden's End Of Medicaid Waiver For Texas Hospitals

Gov. Greg Abbott is lambasting the Biden administration's decision to rescind approval for a Medicaid waiver that delivers billions of federal dollars to Texas hospitals. The 1115 Medicaid waiver reimburses hospitals for expenses they incur when treating uninsured patients. In January, the outgoing Trump administration agreed to extend the waiver for ten-years in Texas. But Medicaid officials say the decision was made in error, without allowing time for public comment. Abbott on Friday said the Biden White House is "obstructing health care access for vulnerable Texans."
