The Vanessa Guillen memorial gate will be unveiled next week at Fort Hood. Officials at the Army post announced it will dedicate the gate on Monday at 1 p.m. Guillen's relatives will attend the ceremony, along with the commanding general of the base. The live-streamed event will be closed to the public. The 20-year-old Army specialist from Houston went missing last year. She had been killed by a fellow soldier who later killed himself. Guillen's remains were later found. Her case led to an investigation of conditions at Fort Hood.
