Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing the Biden administration in an effort to make it reinstate the Remain In Mexico policy. The policy required asylum seekers to wait south of the border for their immigration hearing. The lawsuit argues the Migrant Protection Protocols are needed to curb the criminal and humanitarian crisis at the border. Paxton says "dangerous criminals are taking advantage of the lapse in law enforcement," and it's resulting in an increase in crime that the state has to deal with.
