One person is dead and four people wounded following a shooting at a Bryan, Texas business. Bryan Police Chief Eric Buske says an employee opened fire at Kent Moore Cabinets.
The suspect was later taken into custody following a shootout with a DPS trooper. The trooper was wounded and is in serious, but stable condition.
"I have been working closely with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers as they assist local law enforcement on a swift response to this criminal act. Their efforts led to the arrest of the shooting suspect," said Governor Greg Abbott. "The state will assist in any way needed to help prosecute the suspect. Cecilia and I are praying for the victims and their families and for the law enforcement officer injured while apprehending the suspect.”
The Bryan Police Department says the suspect was an employee of the business, but do not yet know a motive.
