Six Cases Of UK Virus Variant Said To Be In Bexar County

Metro Health says six cases of the coronavirus UK variant have been identified in Bexar County. Community Labs, a nonprofit that does coronavirus testing in San Antonio, says several recent tests match the signature of the variant. The tests have been sent to the Department of Health in Austin for sequencing to confirm that they're actually the UK variant. The CDC says the variant first made it to the U.S. in December and is now in all 50-states. San Antonio's first two cases were reported in February.
