Texas' power grid manager is issuing a preliminary report on the massive February outages. Electric Reliability Council of Texas officials say weather related problems caused a massive drop in power generating ability from February 14th through the 19th when two winter storms hit Texas. ERCOT notes generators kept going in and out of service that week making it difficult to explain when rolling outages would stop. Equipment issues and fuel limitations also caused problems. ERCOT is hoping a final report will be ready by August. Over 120 deaths have been attributed to the storm.
