The number of coronavirus cases and hospitalizations in Texas is still decreasing, more than two-weeks after Gov. Greg Abbott ended the mask mandate. Abbott also allowed all businesses in the state to reopen at 100-percent capacity. On Friday, the governor tweeted that the state's seven-day positivity rate had dropped below five-and-a-half-percent, the lowest since that statistic has been calculated. Abbott attributes the improved figures to the large numbers of Texans being vaccinated.
