Last Member Of Public Utility Commission Resigns

The Public Utility Commission of Texas has no more members seated. Governor Greg Abbott confirmed on Tuesday night that PUC Chairman Arthur D'Andrea had resigned at his request. D'Andrea was the last member of the three-seat commission that regulates electric, telecommunication, and water and sewer utilities in Texas. The other two, including former chair DeAnn Walker, resigned recently following the debacle caused by the winter storm last month. Abbott says he plans to name D'Andrea's replacement soon.
