Southwest Airlines may be about to make a large purchase of a new Boeing 737 Max variant.
Sources tell Reuters the North Texas-based airline will buy dozens of 737 Max 7 planes, which are smaller than the usual 737 Max.
Southwest had considered switching to Airbus after all 737 Max jets were grounded in 2019 due to international airline crashes. Boeing and Southwest have not commented on the report.
