Economist: Texas Economy Poised To Make Strong Post-Pandemic Recovery

A Texas economist's report says the state can look forward to a strong recovery from the pandemic.

Ray Perryman's firm, the Perryman Group, has released its 40th "Big Forecast" of the state economy.

Perryman says a lot of the growth this year will be regaining ground lost during last year's shutdowns. The report covers industry, technology, and oil and gas in detail. Perryman foresees growth of more than 4% in Gross Product over the next five years, along with employment growth of more than 300,000 jobs a year.
