School Districts To Decide On Policy After Abbott Ends Mask Mandate

Local school districts are deciding on their policies after Gov. Greg Abbott's announcement on Tuesday eliminating pandemic protocols. The governor reversed last year's statewide mask mandate and announced businesses will be able to operate at 100-percent capacity as of next Wednesday. Some school districts, such as the South San Antonio ISD, will continue to require students and staff to wear masks. Others, including the North East ISD, say they're awaiting guidance from the Texas Education Agency.
