Similar to its men's basketball championship tournament, the NCAA will have the annual National Invitational Tournament entirely played in one area. Officials announced the decision Monday along with the move to cut the tournament from 32 to 16 teams. All games will be played in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. There was no tournament in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
