UT Austin Drops SAT, ACT Requirements For 2022 Because Of Pandemic

UT Austin is suspending the SAT and ACT test score requirement for students applying for the fall 2022 semester. School officials say the ongoing pandemic is still limiting student access to testing opportunities. Several Ivy League universities and other schools extended the temporary hold on the traditional requirement earlier this year, along with Rice University in Houston. Texas universities that placed a temporary hold on the testing requirement last year include Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU, and Southern Methodist.
