Judge: Planned Parenthood Can Stay With Medicaid In Texas For Now

A Travis County judge is extending a temporary order blocking Texas from kicking out Planned Parenthood as a Medicaid health care provider. The judge extended the order 14-days to give herself time to determine whether Texas can remove Planned Parenthood now, or whether the abortion provider can continue in the Medicaid program while pursuing other appeals. The judge said she hoped to be able to rule by early next week on whether she'll issue the injunction sought by Planned Parenthood. Wednesday's hearing had been delayed a week by the winter storm.
