Federal Judge Blocks Biden's Plan To Suspend Deportations

A federal judge is blocking President Biden's plan to halt deportations of illegal immigrants for a hundred days. U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton ruled against the plan late Tuesday night. He says the Department of Homeland Security hasn't provided a reasonable justification for the pause. Biden had promised during the campaign to halt deportations briefly, and did so on his first day in office. Tipton, who was appointed by former President Trump, said the Texas attorney general proved the state would be harmed financially by the pause. His injunction applies to the nation, not just Texas.
