Officials are investigating after a train carrying gasoline and coal collided with an 18-wheeler near Cameron, in Milam County this morning.
The crash caused a large explosion and police are evacuating nearby houses near Cameron, just northeast of Austin.
The train conductor and the truck driver both survived and there appears to be no major injuries.
Milam County Sheriff Chris White said the fire is mostly petroleum and there are “no reports of chemical hazards.”
Officials say the fire was so hot they had to let it burn down before getting things under control.
