Texas Emerges From Winter Blast

The Texas energy grid is operating at full capacity again after a week of subfreezing temperatures that shut down power and water statewide. Gov. Greg Abbott says there are still tens of thousands of Texans who are without power due to downed lines. The state purchased extra natural gas to keep up with power demand. Most Texas cities have lifted their boil-water notices, but are encouraging customers to conserve water as residents deal with plumbing issues. Nearly 90,000 Texans have already applied for FEMA disaster relief.
