City officials are announcing the creation of a new fund to help San Antonio residents repair their plumbing after last week's winter storm. Mayor Ron Nirenberg on Monday stated that the SAWS Community Pipe Repair Fund got a head start with contributions from the Spurs and Wells Fargo. The Spurs are committing a quarter-million-dollars to the fund, and Wells Fargo another 25-thousand. The San Antonio Area Foundation is hosting the fund, and the San Antonio Water System will administer the repair program.
