Local Leaders, Philanthropists Launch "Let's Help SA"

Local leaders and philanthropists are joining together to launch a massive relief effort to help those affected most by last week's winter storms.

Philanthropist Gordon Hartman says campaign proceeds from "Let's Help SA" will go directly to help people dealing with food, water and shelter needs.

The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation, the Harvey E. Najim Family Foundation and the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation will also match the first $500,000 raised.

"We need to be quick and aggressive in rushing recovery throughout the community," he said in a statement. "We hope citizens who can afford to participate will give generously to the LHSA relief effort right away," said Hartman.

100% of proceeds will directly benefit three nonprofit organizations that are working to help citizens in desperate need of food, water, and shelter. These organizations are SAMMinistries, the San Antonio Food Bank, and Haven for Hope.
