A South Texas congressman is demanding answers from the agency that oversees Texas' power grid. Democratic Congressman Filemon Vela of Brownsville issued a statement on Facebook yesterday saying he shared the frustration many Texans have felt due to problems with the electric infrastructure. He said he and other colleagues are demanding answers from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas regarding the outages that have kept many in the state in the dark for multiple days. He said the situation was unacceptable, and that he would be monitoring the situation and issuing updates as he learns more.
