Rolling Outages Continue Across State

The failure of the power grid in most of the state leaves millions of Texans in the cold. At one point, there were around two-million households around the state without electricity yesterday. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas or ERCOT says it began rolling blackouts early yesterday that were supposed to last no more than 45-minutes, but control was lost and some areas were without power for several hours. By late last night, there were still more than a million utility customers without power, mostly in the Houston area.
