A major heroin trafficker is off to federal prison for 15-years. A federal judge in San Antonio sentenced 35-year-old Joe Anthony Ramirez on Tuesday for supplying heroin to be distributed throughout the city. Ramirez pleaded guilty in 2019 to conspiracy to supply heroin to his own drug trafficking operation and another led by Andrew Sanchez. The same judge also sentenced Sanchez in November 2019 to 15-years in federal prison. So far, a dozen people associated with the organizations Ramirez supplied have been sentenced.
