One Killed, Two Injured In Street Racing Accident

Police are investigating a street-racing crash on the South Side that killed one man and put two others in the hospital. Officers say the crash happened on Commercial Avenue near Sharmain Place. A truck and a sedan were reportedly racing northbound when the driver of the truck skidded on a wet spot and ran head-on into another truck headed south. The 18-year-old driver of the racing truck was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. His passenger died at the scene. The driver of the other truck, a man in his 50s, is also in the hospital.
